Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 April 2026
Presender ("Presender", "we", "us", "our") provides a software-as-a-service platform for creating, personalizing, and sharing sales presentations. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process, why we process it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We act as a data controller for the data of our account holders, and as a data processor for content and recipient data that account holders upload, generate, or send through the service.
1. Who we are
Presender is operated by the team behind presender.test. Privacy questions and data subject requests can be sent to privacy@presender.app.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Account data
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, hashed password, profile photo (if provided), preferred language, and the team you belong to. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and the OAuth provider identifier from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
2.2 Sender profile and template content
To generate presentations, you provide a "sender profile" — your company name, brand assets, website, products, case studies, and any additional context you upload (text, PDF, voice notes). Templates and presentations you create are stored against your team and are visible only to you and your teammates.
2.3 Recipient data
When you create a personalized presentation, you provide details about the recipient (name, email, company, role, and any additional context). You are responsible for having a lawful basis to process recipient data and for honouring recipient rights — Presender processes that data on your behalf as a processor.
2.4 Engagement and analytics data
When a recipient views a shared presentation, we collect engagement data on behalf of the sender: which slides were viewed, time on each slide, clicks, scroll depth, device type, browser, approximate location (city / region / country derived from IP), and IP address. If the presentation is email-gated, we also store the email address the recipient submits. This data is shown back to the sending team in analytics.
2.5 Billing data
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer ID, subscription status, plan, billing email, last four digits of the card, and invoice history. We never store full card numbers, CVC codes, or banking credentials.
2.6 Technical and log data
We log application errors, request timing, IP address, user agent, and other technical data needed to operate, secure, and debug the service. Logs are retained for up to 90 days unless required for security incident investigation.
3. How we use your data
- To provide the service: render presentations, run AI generation, deliver tracked links, and surface analytics.
- To authenticate users, including Google OAuth and two-factor authentication.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe.
- To send transactional email (account verification, team invitations, password resets, billing receipts, presentation view notifications you opt in to).
- To improve the product, debug issues, and detect abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. AI processing
Presender uses third-party AI providers (currently Anthropic for text generation and OpenAI Whisper for voice transcription) to convert the inputs you submit — sender profile content, interview answers, voice notes, recipient data — into presentation content. Inputs and outputs are sent to these providers strictly to fulfil your request and are governed by their respective data-processing terms. Presender does not authorize these providers to train their general models on your content.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We share data only with the categories of recipients listed below:
- Infrastructure: Laravel Cloud (hosting), AWS S3 (file storage).
- AI providers: Anthropic, OpenAI — for the AI features described above.
- Payments: Stripe.
- Email delivery: our transactional email provider.
- Authentication: Google (only when you choose to sign in with Google).
- Authorities: where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
6. International transfers
Some sub-processors may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent legal mechanism.
7. Retention
Account data is retained for as long as the account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain it for legal reasons (e.g. invoices, fraud prevention). Recipient and engagement data are retained for as long as the parent presentation exists; sending teams can delete a presentation at any time, which removes its analytics. Application logs are retained up to 90 days.
8. Security
We use TLS in transit, encrypted credentials at rest, hashed passwords, scoped multi-tenant access controls, two-factor authentication, and role-based permissions inside teams. No system is perfectly secure; if you discover a vulnerability, please disclose it responsibly to security@presender.app.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Most of these rights can be exercised in-app from your account settings, or by emailing privacy@presender.app. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (and within 30 days where no specific period is set).
10. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to maintain CSRF protection. Public presentation pages set a short-lived cookie to remember email-gate / password verification for the recipient. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
11. Children
Presender is not directed at children under 16. Do not use the service if you are under 16, and do not upload data about children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
